Saddlebrook Committee Chairs and Committee Information

Our Board of Directors and Committees are made up entirely of our own volunteer neighbors.  We have always had a very active community and encourage you to be involved.   Participating on the Board of Directors as an officer or as one of six directors serving as a Committee Chairperson is a great way to contribute your time and talent and continue to enrich our neighborhood.

Architectural Control - Gregg Kidd
The ACC is responsible for maintaining the aesthetics of the neighborhood through the enforcement of the Covenants and Architectural Design Standards. The ACC reviews all applications for modifications, additions, or architectural changes in the community to assure that any changes are in conformity and harmony with the neighborhood. This committee is made up of three volunteer neighbors and their duties are outlined in the Covenants. A strong ACC helps keep our property values high and makes Saddlebrook a very attractive neighborhood for people looking to purchase a home.

Finance - Rob Oakes
The Finance Committee maintains the operating budget for the Association. Each month they will track income and expenditures and compare to the annual budget for each committee. The Finance Committee will use current and past information to develop the annual budget for the following year and make a recommendation to the Board for consideration of the next annual budget and a five year projection of capital expenditures based on the input of each of the committee’s needs.

House and Grounds - Pete Bilson
The House and Grounds Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the common property in the neighborhood. This includes the clubhouse, clubhouse grounds, playground, parking lot, and entrance area but excludes the pool, pool equipment, tennis courts and furnishings related to these areas. House and Grounds is constantly reviewing the need for capital improvements and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for consideration for any new project or major improvement.

Pool - Richard Green
The Pool Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the swimming pool, pool equipment, furnishings, and pool pump house. This committee oversees the pool company in charge of maintaining the pool for the year – including the lifeguards. The Pool Committee is charged with the execution of all approved pool projects. Other responsibilities include:
  • Day to day operation of the pool, including the establishment and enforcement of the rules and regulations.
  • Supervision of a Swim Team Subcommittee
  • To promote a clean, safe, and functional environment by communicating to the neighborhood what is happening at the pool and associated amenities.
  • Make recommendations to Board regarding: pool hours, pool rules, repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements

Social - Courtney Morgan
The Social Committee shall be responsible for planning and developing a complete social program and finding hosts for special activities or events for the neighborhood. The Social Committee is charged with maintaining regular communication to all members of the Association regarding social activities and events. Two subcommittees of the Social Committee include Block Captains and a Directory subcommittee. Block Captains are the neighborhood network of communication to smaller sections of the neighborhood. The Directory subcommittee is responsible for the publication or a new directory when the old directory has become obsolete. Other Social Committee responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring neighborhood, school and community activities which could impact our subdivision.
  • Creating welcome baskets for new neighbors.
  • Creating an annual budget with an estimated cost for each event.

Tennis - Chance Backus
The Tennis Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the tennis courts, tennis equipment, furniture and anything directly related to the tennis area. Other responsibilities include:
  • Day to day operation and maintenance of the tennis courts, including the establishment and enforcement of the rules and regulations.
  • Developing and executing a continuing program of men and women’s tennis teams.
